So, let's take a closer look at the real value added this brings to users by breaking some of the features down. I tested the app for a few days, and I got a clear sense of where the app delivers.

Photo Cleanup: Smart, but Not Perfect

This is the heart of the app. Cleanup scanned my 159 GB photo honestly in an instant, which was really impressive. It grouped lookalike, similar images into batches, usually picking the sharper or more focused one to keep. For the most part, it made good calls, especially with burst shots and travel photos. But there were a few cases where it grouped photos that were taken in different lighting or at different locations, so I had to double-check. That said, swiping left or right to delete or keep felt oddly satisfying. The best part? You can review every suggestion. I never felt like the app was deleting things behind my back, and that's a big deal when it comes to your photo library.

Video Compression: Surprisingly Effective

I tested the compression feature out on a few of my large video files and a couple of smaller ones, and was pleasantly surprised; it offered good compression rates, without any noticeable drop in quality. Playback was smooth, and I honestly wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't comparing them side by side. So, if you're low on storage and have a lot of old videos, this feature is actually pretty useful.  The only downside here was that I found the actual compression process quite lengthy; some short clips took over 10 minutes to compress. This one surprised me. I didn't go into the app expecting to fix my address book, but Cleanup flagged 13 duplicates and over 300 incomplete contacts I'd completely forgotten about. In about 30 seconds, I merged all my duplicate entries and removed all that had no data beyond a phone number. It's a small detail, but it made my Contacts feel much cleaner and more accurate.

Email Cleanup: Good for Light Users

This feature, for me personally, wasn't a standout.  While it does connect to major accounts like Gmail, its filters for junk and promotional emails felt a little bit too broad. I use my inbox pretty actively, and I didn't want to delete anything important accidentally. That said, if you tend to let your unread emails stack into the thousands, you might find this helpful for quick triage. Just double-check before you tap delete.

The Little Extras: Widgets, Charging Animations, Secret Vault

These features are more aesthetic than practical. The lock screen widget for quick Cleanup is a nice shortcut, though, and the charging animation thing is fun, but not something I'd use daily. The Secret Vault feature is decent; you can hide photos and videos behind a PIN.
